One of my favorite tools is the Bosch Easycut mini chain saw. No, it’s not advertising, I really like it. When I first worked with that mini chainsaw on a basswood sculpture, I noticed that it give it a nice surface like a wood of soft plush material. From here came the idea of carving a cute plush Teddy Bear. You can see this in the video.

nice work. suppose that you have to make a through cut in 6 in wood ( closed cut ) do you have to do it from both sides since the chainsaw would not reach the other side ?
also once the chain gets dull quickly do you have to bu a replacement chain ?
Thanks
