I made my own designed patterns and symbols on the head with metal etching. Therefore, the pattern on the heads of the axes is not a printed image but is milled into it, deepened into the metal.

The handle is American Hickory walnut, which is an extremely hard and strong wood. The head is fixed with a clamping solution, i.e. the wood widens upwards and is thus squeezed into the head of the axe. This means that the handle is always pressed into the head more and more firmly and more stably with use. I make the leather decorative elements on the handle from leather.

Because my Viking axes are made individually and with craftsmanship, they are not exactly the same. Each piece has its own style, the individual decorative elements are different, which gives each one its uniqueness and character.

On the page, you can only see the ones that are currently available for purchase because the ones that someone buys will be removed from the page. Therefore, if you like a particular Viking ax you should buy it as soon as possible.

Ask with monogram – Special gift

You can also request your or your loved one’s monogram in place of the pattern in the circle on the back of the axe head. At no extra cost , it can be a truly unique ax. If you get it as a gift then you can be sure that it will be a special gift, you will get a personalized surprise. All you have to do is write down what kind of monogram you want in the message field when you buy. Before I make the axe I will send you a design of it so you can see how it will show on it.

Who were the Bersekers?

The word Berserker ( ᛒᛁᚱᛋᛅᚱᚴᛦ ) means roughly bear warrior or a bearskin-clad warrior. In the Old Norwegian legend, the Bersekers were dangerous warriors who fought in a frenzied, trance-like anger.

When the Vikings went into battle, Berserker warriors often wore special clothing, such as bear fur. They typically did not wear armor, and often rushed to battle with naked at the head of the army. The Berserkers were believed to have supernatural powers from Odin, the Viking god.

They were so legendarily strong that they were able to kill a man in one fell swoop.

They were brave and strong men who never backed away, and kings used them as bodyguards.
