The Kraken viking double axe is a well detailed, and designed axe, but it is also a usable, rugged and efficient tool.

A special gift idea

I designed the patterns and symbols on the head of the Kraken axe based on the Scandinavian world. I etched these patterns into the metal with a metal etching technique.

The handle for the axe is made of American Hickory wood, which is a very hard and strong kind of noble wood. I decorated the handle by firing and pyrography.

The leather trim on the handle is made from cow leather, by hand and in a unique style for each axe.

Like my other work, my Kraken double Viking axes aren’t exactly the same. Each piece has its own individuality and unique details and elements. Each decorative element is different for each axe, which gives it its uniqueness and character. On the page you can see only those axes that are currently available for purchase. This is because if you select one of the axe, I will send you that piece. This way you can see exactly what your axe will look like when you buy it. And if someone buys a piece, it will be removed from the site. Therefore, if you like a Kraken Viking axe you should buy it as soon as possible.

You can request your or your loved one’s name in place of the pattern in the circle on the head. To the place where the name Kraken is currently written with Viking runes. No extra cost . It can be a truly unique gift axe. All you have to do is write down what kind of name you want. Before I make your Kraken axe I will send you a design of it so you can see how it will show on it.

This doesn’t increase the price, only expect the axe to take 2-3 weeks to make.

Who or what is Kraken?

The Viking and the superstitions and myths of the sailors of other peoples speak of a giant polyp, or sea monster, that dragged their ships into the abyss.

The English word Kraken (sea monster) comes from the Norwegian word kraken or krakjen.

There are descriptions that describe Kraken as a multi-headed and clawed creature that attacked ships by embracing them with their bodies to upset them, and sometimes squeezing them with such force that even really large ships are broken in half.

This Viking axe is a tribute to human courage, curiosity. A commemoration of the brave sailors and Viking warriors who took on many dangers on their voyages of discovery and paddled into hitherto unknown waters to achieve their goals.
